I was born 1950 in Lulea in the north of Sweden, and I have been working as a building engineer and part owner at an architectural office for 36 years. I´ve had photography and music as an interest and inspiration all my life. I also like to travel around the world visiting all kinds of places. My favourite place is Austin, Texas, for the friendly people, its music scene, Tex- Mex food and the Texas BBQ.

Now I have started a business as a part-time freelance photographer Christer Östensson Musicphoto. Most of the music photos are taken in Austin at the Continental Club, Grüene Hall, Broken Spoke and Saxon´s Pub etc. I have also been working with friends of mine, the alternative country group Swinging Doors with photography for their debut album. Some of the photos for the cover and sleeve are taken at Louie Müellers BBQ in Taylor Texas.
